Project Profile - Retrofitting On-line Ponds

Thank you for your interest in our restoration funding! Before you complete this project profile form, please ensure you have the following:

  • Completed and submitted a Landowner Information Form
  • Project site plan
  • Two cost quotations from qualified contractors
  • Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority permit (if required)

Important Things to Remember!

It is the responsibility of each landowner to obtain all required permits prior to commencing the project, i.e. from Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority, the municipality and/or Health Unit. Landowners will be required to provide copies of all required permits for grant reimbursement. Failure to obtain the necessary permits will result in an ineligibility to receive grant funding.

It is the responsibility of each landowner to pay all contractors up-front and in-full upon project completion. Documentation of proof of payment will be required to be submitted for grant reimbursement. Important: Any in-water or channel design works must be designed appropriately by qualified designer or engineer. Please attach appropriate design information and drawings. Work may be subject to permits from, but not limited to, the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority, Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.

Site Plan Submission

Provide a sketch of the proposed project site showing nearby surface water (lakes, watercourses, wetlands), slope the property, adjacent land use, erosion problems, tile drains, as well as a description of the proposed changes. Include any other information you feel is important.
